PYDANCE TRAINING

Scroll Down

Asia Pyron studies the relationship between sound, body, and rhythm. Her choreography is based on the emotional and atmospheric change that comes with music and sound. How is the body and space affected by vibrations of sound waves? What do we feel emotionally when the tempo of the music changes? Pyron challenges dancers to bring awareness to what they hear and how to use sound as a tool within movement. Textures, temperatures, and speeds can be applied to sound, so how can we be influenced by its physicality and apply it to the dancer’s physicality. Pyron’s repertoire and teaching techniques leads dancers smoothly and effortlessly into a better sense of rhythm.

OUTSIDE STUDIO LAB

PYDANCE has been experimenting  with outdoor areas where dance classes can be taught in person. Asia Pyron is interested in studying where and how dancers can continue their training outside of a normal studio space. Covid-19 has been a serious toll on the world, but dance is still alive and growing.

As dancers, we are always adapting and finding new ways to bring dance to the world.

Pyron studies a new structure of classes , playing with the restriction of being 6 feet apart and finding areas of Boston that could replace indoor studios.
